Quick post today! Three years ago, I did something I never thought I could – I completed a half-marathon. Considering I am someone who hates running, this was a huge accomplishment. I trained for four months, and ended up finishing the One America 500 Festival Mini Marathon in 2:34. No, I wasn’t incredibly fast, but that wasn’t my goal. I just wanted to finish — and I did! That same year, I was also planning a wedding, and needless to say, things were stressful and overwhelming. I would not have been able to do it without my best friend Sara, who ran with me, and my (now) husband Donnie supporting me! I had many other people cheer me on, and it was amazing! Will I run another half? I highly doubt it. It’s not for me. But it’s checked off my bucket list!
